RICS School of Built Environment would like to announce that Prof. KT Ravindran FRICS will be stepping down as Dean Emeritus, RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University Noida. We are also pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Mona N. Shah will be joining as Dean, RICS school of Built Environment, Amity University Noida from 16th July, 2018.
Being a part of the core founding team, Prof. KT Ravindran has been instrumental in driving the institution forward and building a name for the brand in Indian built environment sector. We are grateful to Prof. Ravindran for his dedicated service to the School for the last five years and his contribution in shaping RICS School of Built Environment into a leading institution. Prof. KT Ravindran however will continue to provide us the academic guidance in his new role as Academic Advisor to SBE.
The new Dean Prof. Dr. Mona N. Shah has a professional experience spanning over three decades, initially in the services and manufacturing industry gaining proficiency in launching new initiatives in the functional areas of strategy and operations.
Before joining as Dean, RICS SBE at Noida, she has served at the National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR) Pune, as Dean of School of Projects, Real Estate and Infrastructure Management.
Her teaching and research interests include Strategy, Leadership, and Sustainability. Her keen interest in applied research has translated into government and corporate assignments in competency mapping, feasibility studies, affordable housing, and smart cities solutions since 2003. In addition, she has published 46 research articles & cases in reputed journals worldwide, 35 conference contributions and supervised 95 master level theses.
Apart from teaching and performing administrative duties, she is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Project Management in Research and Practice (UTepress, Sydney, Australia). Prof. Shah also engages in executive training programs with government departments and blue chip corporates in the construction sector. She is an invited speaker and reviewer for international and national level journals.
On speaking about her new role, Prof. Shah said, "I am happy to be part of a highly distinguished organization that for a century and a half has been providing selfless service and leadership to the cause of the built environment and industry, globally. Going forward, I can see the contribution RICS-SBE can make to the industry and in turn to the country as a whole, through its industry-ready graduates.
The Indian built industry is aware of the urgent need to initiate global standards of practice. It is here that RICS SBE going forward will look to accelerate the provision of an empowered and globally vetted human resource to the industry. In my capacity as Dean, School of Built Environment (NOIDA), I look forward to accomplishing this important agenda."
