India’s first and only School of Built Environment
- an industry led academic institution

RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University was established in 2013, to serve as a modern world class institution, to deliver quality education to students and aspiring professionals and also to serve as a hub for research and development of technical expertise in built environment.

The first campus was set up in April 2013 in Noida and the second campus at Panvel, Mumbai was formally launched in Nov 2016.

The School is an industry led academic institution, supported by leading real estate, construction and infrastructure firms, as well as the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

Set up in response to a strong call from the industry to address the challenge pertaining to the shortage of skilled professionals, the School aims to bridge the skills gap by delivering employment ready professionals from the day students enter the industry.

"Amity has always been a research and innovation driven University offering practical industry oriented education. In our journey to contribute to nation building through education, an important focus area is the fast growing real estate and construction sector in India, making demands for technically qualified professionals in related fields. In pursuit of the highest quality standards, Amity takes pride in working together with RICS (the world’s leading professional body for land, property and construction) in setting up the RICS School of Built Environment, as part of the Amity University. I am confident the School will go a long way in providing highly specialized graduates to this developing industry."

"Increasing urbanization is making huge demands on Indian cities and infrastructure. Addressing the skills challenge and reducing massive demand supply gap (82-86%1) of skilled professionals is fundamental for the industry to be able to deliver projects of highest quality, on time and on cost. The School is a joint initiative of RICS India and Amity to create a world class institution for education, training, research and standards, which is led by the industry, for the industry. With a strong value proposition of international alliances, globally renowned faculty, best in class learning facilities, practice led teaching approach and immense industry backing, the School will pave the way for future generation of built environment professionals."
