Interestingly this placement season began in times of demonetization and in spite of the general slowdown in the built environment industry, big corporates and companies visited us for hiring their future employees.
The placements for 2017 are in full swing and big companies across categories are visiting campus for hiring our students.
Leading construction and contracting firms like Arcadis, SPCL, Nabih Elias Azzam & Partners, Turner & Townsend, Eversendai Engineering LLC, Veadhik Cost Consultant along with financial & consulting firms like Blackstone, Edelweiss, CBRE, JLL, Cushman & Wakefield, Knight Frank, PropEquity and real estate development firms like TATA Housing, Prestige took part in the campus placements and hired some our bright students from MBA REUI, MBA CPM and MBA CEQS programs.
The domains that the students will work vary from quantity surveying to project management to strategy & consulting, research, transactions, sales, business development, etc. The locations where they will begin their careers include emerging markets like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore as well as developed markets like Dubai and Thailand.
31 companies have participated in placements so far and we are awaiting results for some. It is still early to summarize the outcome but one thing is loud and clear from this placement season that is the demand for credible, competent and trustworthy professionals will never go down even in difficult market conditions.
This also reinforces our belief in our mission of building a better India through educated built environment professionals.
