Study abroad at University of San Diego

RICS School of Built Environment (RICS SBE), Amity University and The School of Business, University of San Diego signed a Memorandum of Understanding [MoU].

As part of this initiative MBA students from RICS SBE will attend a five week International Certificate program in Real Estate Investment during summer at The School of Business, University of San Diego starting June 2017.

Study abroad program
The objective of this program is to expose RICS-SBE School of Real Estate students to real estate environment, curriculum and practices in the most evolved and developed real estate market of the world.

Fee
The program cost is $7500 per student and includes all instructional material, double-Occupancy Housing with Kitchenettes, access to gym, pools, athletic fields, student lounges etc., campus meal cards ($60/week), city trolley pass, Disneyland 1-Day pass and Sea-world 1-Day pass, insurance coverage for the stay, private group transportation to all site visits & Disneyland, welcome and closing dinner celebration, access to leading data sources such as CoStar and STDB.

Program structure
The International Certificate Program starts in summer 2017, from June 5 to July 6. There will be in class lectures, case studies and projects from Monday to Thursday. Friday is reserved for industry speakers and site visits. The students will be individually assessed at the end of program. The participants with be awarded a certificate & transcript after passing the assessment.
Site visits could cover topics regarding:

  • Large Residential, mixed-use and shopping developments
  • Senior Housing Communities
  • Bio-Tech Office Parks

  • Application Deadline: December 9, 2016
  • Notification of Acceptance: December 16, 2016
  • Initial Program Deposit Due: January 20, 2017
  • Supplemental Application Forms Due: February 1, 2017
  • DS-19 forms sent to Amity: March 1, 2017
  • Program Fee Payment in Full Due: March 31, 2017
