Professor Mohammed Arif addressed our students regarding the opportunity of being a part of the exchange program at University of Salford as part of our international exposure program. Prof. Mohammed Arif feels that students with an engineering background in Civil or Mechanical can accomplish a lot of good things and acquire new heights in developing the built environment.
University of Salford, School of Built Environment has about 2,000 students and it is the largest University in the world in terms of Ph.D. students. Recently, the University of Salford launched a centre, which was built with a vision to become an active, vibrant & prolific centre for research. The research centre is called BEST [centre for Built Environment Sustainability & Transformation]. Research is one of the strengths and the institution has had some of its leading researchers work in field of built environment in the world and has made valuable contributions to the built industry in the last 20 years.
Prof. Mohammed Arif was instrumental in getting the MOU signed between University of Salford and RICS School of Built Environment. As part of this MoU, students have the option to study one semester at University of Salford, UK. The academic cooperation between the two institutions extends to students’, staff & faculty exchange; joint lectures, seminars & workshops; exchange of information & academic publications; collaboration on joint research projects; joint student internships; joint “capstone” (terminal) projects and access to learning resources.
