RICS SBE academicians deliver customized training to NBCC employees

A two day training program on Contracts Management was conducted for NBCC India Ltd. on 22-23 August 2016 at NBCC (India) MDP Center, Gurgaon. The specially designed program was attended by over 25 employees from NBCC.

NBCC (India) Limited, formerly known as National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd., is a blue-chip Government of India Navratna Enterprise under the Ministry of Urban Development. The company is a leader in its own right in the construction sector and its present areas of operations are (i) Project Management Consultancy (PMC), (ii) Real Estate Development and (iii) EPC Contracting. NBCC has been executing many landmark projects as a PMC and core strength areas covered under its umbrella include roads, hospitals & medical colleges, institutions, offices, airports, bridges, industrial and environmental structures.
 
The training program broadly focused on the following areas of contracts management:

  • Applicability of various contract procurement models and relevant forms

  • Claims Management

  • General Construction Costs, risk assessment and Management

  • Key features of Construction Contracts

A mix of comparative analysis, case studies, underlying theory, clause reconciliation, and presentations comprised the training methodology. Faculty delivering the tranining included:
