Dr. Ashish Gupta has over 20 years of work experience in the real estate sector in India; 14 years in real estate investment banking/brokerage/consulting and 6.5 years in real estate academics. Out of which he worked for 8 years with Jones Lang LaSalle in consulting/valuation, investments, and capital markets. Subsequently, he headed real estate practice within wealth management for Aditya Birla Money (ABM) and Bajaj Capital. At ABM, he established the real estate investment advisory business across seven gateway cities in India.
Presently, he is teaching at the RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University, Noida. He has research interests in property valuation, investments, property development, housing, land and investment risk. He is passionate about Indian real estate and has publications in international journals (ABDC – B, C) by Emerald Publishing and the American Real Estate Society on Indian real estate. He has presented papers at various international conferences like the Asian Real Estate Society (AsRES), the European Real Estate Society (ERES) and the Pacific Rim Real Estate Society (PRRES).
He has done his Ph.D (Built Environment) from RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University, PGDP (Housing) from CEPT, Ahmedabad, PGDFM from NMIMS, Mumbai and B. Arch. from Government College of Architecture, Lucknow. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a professional trainer and APC assessor and auditor for RICS.
